Introduction
This year we finally emerged from COVID restrictions to re inhabit our studio spaces and embrace hybrid working. We cemented these re-found freedoms over a couple of fabulous days when around 70 of us assembled in Edinburgh for our first Landscape conference since 2019.
For anyone interested in City wide design, place, identity and culture, Edinburgh has it all and is one of many reasons we decided to hold our Landscape conference, an event designed to celebrate our people, projects, successes and to address the challenges of the future. Add to that our fastest growing team, some of our most prestigious projects including the reimagining of George Street and you can see why it was a natural choice.
This year`s highlights also included a delayed Landscape Institute ceremony for 7 Chartered staff and 2 Fellows, we also inaugurated a series of monthly national knowledge share webinars with topics as diverse as Suds in Schools and neuro diverse play. We joined colleagues in Ecology to discuss how to best meet Biodiversity net gain and Net Zero targets, launched our BIM training programme, opened a hidden canal in Cardiff city centre and planned garden spaces based on a woodland edge in London`s Barbican.
For details of these and many more projects and innovations please enjoy this year`s digital book.
